Mr Laurence (Ben) Wilkins

Ben is a registered pharmacist in Newcastle, a former proprietor and has been accredited since 1997, performing clinical pharmacy services such as Home Medicines Reviews. Ben has worked with the local PHN and pharmacy organisations to deliver My Health Record enablement and training to pharmacists in more than 300 pharmacies.
Ben’s expertise, in his role as a Clinical Reference Lead, has contributed to the Australian Digital Health Agency’s implementation of electronic prescriptions and PSML (pharmacist shared medicine list).
Ben’s appointments also include the Pharmacy Board of Australia and the Board of Hunter New England Local Health District (HNE LHD). Ben also works as a director in a not-for-profit primary care organisation. He has a strong interest in the National Health Agenda and remains passionate about lifestyle and technological measures that improve health outcomes and the community’s well-being.
Mr Simon Carroll
B.Pharm, MMarketing, GCMarComm, Cert IV TAE
Simon has over 10 years of pharmacy business coaching experience, specialising in business strategy, workflows, processes, health service provision and team building. Simon works with community pharmacies and pharmacy organisations, such as The Guild, where he is on the QCPP Working Group for QC2020.
Simon graduated in 1985 with a B Pharm. He managed Soul Pattinson Pharmacies in Hurstville and 160 Pitt Street, before joining Australian Pharmaceutical Industries in 1991. Simon purchased his first pharmacy in 1994. His group of pharmacies grew to nine with purchases of existing pharmacies and three greenfield sites. In 2008, Simon and his two business partners sold their pharmacies.
In 2010, he completed a Master of Marketing from Monash University School of Business and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Simon worked at the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia from 2011 to 2015 in a few roles, such as Program Delivery Manager.
